Fingerhut lat. digitalis purpurea
Der
Fingerhut ist eine heimische stark giftige Pflanze, eine stolze
Schönheit der Natur. Sie ist schnellwachsend, winterhart und
treibt mannshohe Stauden. Sie blüht zwei, drei Wochen von Juni
bis August. Einige Exemplare schaffen es in der zweiten Welle
nochmals bis in den November hinein. Ein paar Wochen nach der
Blüte findet sich reichlich Nachwuchs rings um die Mutter. Die
Freude ist groß an den blühenden Hütchen, und auch an den
vielen großen Insekten, die von ihr genährt werden. In
der Medizin findet der Wirkstoff Anwendung in Herzmitteln.

The
foxglove is a domestic strongly poisonous plant, a proud beauty of
